Stevenage midfielder Stacy Long says the club must build on their victory against League One leaders Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Long, 26, scored the only goal as Boro condemned the Addicks to a first league defeat of the season.
He told BBC Three Counties Radio: "It was a great result but we've got to build on that, take all the positives and think put right what we did wrong.
"Hopefully next week we can put in an even better performance than today."
The Broadhall Way outfit had lost their previous five games in all competitions in the run up to the Charlton clash.
Long thinks that the defeats owed as much to bad luck as poor performances.
"I think we were unfortunate in many ways. I think we played some great football and lost games, it was disappointing for all of us.
"We missed penalty kicks at crucial times in a couple of those matches and that could have changed things.
"We've learnt from what went wrong and now it's about putting it right."
