Jersey Nomads and St Martin/SCF win to close gap at top

Jersey Nomads and St Martin/SCF both claimed wins on Saturday to go within a point of Championship leaders Beeches.
Nomads came from behind to beat St Clement 2-1 with second-half goals from Nick Holmes and Tony Riley. Tom Turquet Junior had given St Clement the lead.
St Martin/SCF beat Magpies 3-0 with a brace from Pascal Corcoran and a Ben Ahier goal.
Beeches OB top the table with 10 points, with St Martin, Nomads and St Brelade all on nine.
In the other Championship game of the day in the island St John were beaten 3-0 by Portuguese Club.
