Wales fell to defeat against France in their Uefa Euro 2013 qualifier despite taking the lead at Parc y Scarlets.

Arsenal's Jayne Ludlow gave Wales the perfect start scoring after two minutes before Gaetane Thiney equalised two minutes before the interval.

Nicola Davies saved Sonia Bompastor's penalty on the hour mark only for Eugenie Le Sommer to give France the lead seven minutes later.

Thiney scored her second before Marie-Laure Delie completed the scoring.

It was the second defeat Jarmo Matikainen's side had suffered in the campaign and they next face Scotland on 27 October.
