Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood is hoping to extend Leigh Griffiths's loan deal beyond January.
The 21-year-old Wolves striker opened his account for the Edinburgh side on Saturday, scoring twice in the 3-2 win at St Mirren.
"We've got to talk to Wolves at the time," said Calderwood.
"We're in contact with them just to keep them up to date with how Leigh's doing and it's something we've got to broach."
Griffiths took advantage of some calamitous goalkeeping for the early opener in Paisley, dispossessing Craig Samson with ease to shoot into an empty net.
And the former Dundee and Livingston centre forward slammed in a great angled strike just before half time to settle the game.
"He absolutely worked his socks off and that was a great example of what we've seen in training," enthused Calderwood. "He's excellent in and around the box.
"He always looks potent and lively and he contributed well with with other members of the team in terms of pressurising and pressing, keeping the ball and linking play."
