Bournemouth have signed Brighton defender Steven Cook on emergency loan.
Cook, 20, comes in as cover for suspended centre-back Stephane Zubar.
Hastings-born Cook began his career at Brighton as a trainee and spent last season on loan at Eastbourne and Mansfield. He goes straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Preston.
"We haven't got any other fit centre-backs at the moment so we brought him down from Brighton," Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury told BBC Radio Solent.
Bradbury added: "I have seen him play before, he is quick and a good footballer and I think he will suit us.
"Brighton have been great and and they have helped us out, they are just along the road to us and have a similar football ethos.
"I'm really pleased, it is just for a month initially but we will see how it works out and it depends on both parties where it goes from that."
Earlier Cook, who has only played once this season, wrote on his Twitter page: "First training session with Bournemouth after going on a month's loan."
