Turbine Potsdam v Glasgow City live on BBC Alba
Glasgow City will become the first Scottish women's club side to have a match broadcast live on television when BBC Alba covers their tie with Potsdam.
The Scottish champions are in the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time and face last year's runners-up in Germany on 2 November.
Club manager Laura Montgomery said: "It is fantastic for Glasgow City and the game in general to have such an important match live on TV.
"This is a momentous occasion."
It is the first time that any Scottish side has reached the last 16 of European football's top club competition.
"It is testament to BBC Alba that they are once more backing women's football," said Montgomery.
"We are treading new ground in reaching the last 16 and it is a proud moment for everyone at the club to know that our historic moment is being broadcast live in our home nation."
Wednesday's match has a 1600 GMT kick-off, with the return leg a week later at Petershill Park in Glasgow.
BBC Alba head of content Alan Esslemont said: "Glasgow City have enjoyed tremendous success in domestic and European competitions over the past few years.
"And it is important that women's football gains the recognition that it rightly deserves."
In addition to the match being broadcast in the UK by BBC Alba, it will be transmitted live in Germany and Asia by Eurosport.
Glasgow defeated Valur Reykjavic 4-1 on aggregate in the previous round and have since retained their Scottish Women's Premier League title and will have the chance to win the domestic double when they face Hibernian in the Scottish Cup final.
However, Turbine Potsdam were European champions two years ago and will also go into the game full of confidence after hammering another Icelandic side, Thor Akureyri, 14-2 on aggregate in their Round of 32 tie.
