Norwich City must manage expectancy, says boss Lambert

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert is hoping Saturday's point against Blackburn will help ease the level of expectation at Carrow Road.
Newly promoted Norwich sit eighth in the Premier League after the 3-3 draw.
"I don't know why people get carried away. We've only played 10 games," Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"We've just come up from League One [in two seasons] and we're not established at all. The problem you have here is to manage expectancy level."
He added: "The crowd will play a huge part in what happens to this team. If they keep backing us all the way the lads will give everything they've got."
The Canaries had to stage a late comeback to earn a point against Rovers, salvaging a draw through Grant Holt's injury-time penalty, controversially given against Steven Nzonzi for handball.
City striker Steve Morison's superb volley cancelled out Junior Hoilett's equally impressive strike, before Blackburn opened up a 3-1 lead.
And Lambert, who was disappointed with his side's defending, was full of praise for their spirited fightback.
"We get ourselves right back into the game through Steve and then we lose two really bad goals," he explained.
"At 3-1 you've got an absolute mountain to climb, but one thing about the lads is they've got incredible desire to try and retrieve it.
"The crowd are willing you on and you may get caught up in it and hit long balls, but we still try and play the right way and I think we got our rewards for the desire."
Holt and fellow substitute Simeon Jackson injected life into Norwich late on, and Lambert has been pleased with the pair's attitude despite their limited first-team opportunities.
"Simeon has been out of it for a few weeks but he's still got a major part to play in what's happening here," he said.
"And Grant's penalty was huge. No matter how many times you've played in your career, it takes big players to make it happen."
