Manager Paul Cox was thrilled with Mansfield Town's attitude and display in drawing 1-1 with Fleetwood in their FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie.
The Stags earned a home draw thanks to Ross Dyer's second-half equaliser and they meet again in Tuesday's replay.
Cox told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I was really chuffed. We were brave."
The draw also means the Blue Square Bet Premier game with Cambridge, which had been set for Thursday, 3 November, will now be played on Saturday, 5 November.
Cox added: "We played some decent stuff, and on another day we might have got more out of the game.
"They are a side with Football League aspirations and are throwing a lot of money at it.
"But the lads applied themselves and our mindset was spot on."
