Boston Utd comeback pleases joint boss Lee Canoville

Joint manager Lee Canoville was pleased by Boston United's second-half comeback as they drew 2-2 with Colwyn Bay at York Street in Blue Square Bet North.

Jason Lee put the Pilgrims ahead but Lee McEvilly's brace just before the break gave the visitors the lead.

But Boston's pressure paid off when Ben Milnes levelled deep in added time.

Canoville told BBC Lincolnshire: "I'm disappointed we haven't dealt with them but it showed we've got great character and we're always fighting to the end."

Veteran striker Lee scored for the fourth game running, his 10th-minute header giving the Pilgrims the lead.

McEvilly levelled in the 45th minute then converted from the penalty spot following a foul by Nathan Stainfield to give the visitors a half-time lead.

As Boston pushed for an equaliser, Colwyn's Damian Allen was sent off in the 89th minute before Milnes struck from 30 yards in the eighth minute of added time.

Canoville said: "I think we were fully in control until their first goal in the 45th minute and yet they found themselves 2-1 up at half time.

"We were devastated and we had to tell the lads to keep going because they were there for the beating.

"We've shown again that we can come back and although we haven't got the three points, it's probably a point gained when you look at the match overall."
