Jack Rodwell expects Everton to change fortunes
Everton's Jack Rodwell says the Blues can bounce back from recent defeats to Chelsea and Manchester United and climb up the Premier League table.
David Moyes' side, who travel to third-placed Newcastle on Saturday, are four points above the relegation zone.
"If you look at the game before when we played Fulham we scored three goals, so I'll take the positives from it," Rodwell told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"We haven't played too badly so we'll go to Newcastle with confidence."
Rodwell added: "Our last two games have been Manchester United and Chelsea, two of the top teams in the league.
"Fine margins were the difference and we had a couple of chances, including myself."
Rodwell scored his first goal of the season in the 3-1 win over Fulham last month, and admits he has been impressed with the form of fellow midfielders Marouane Fellaini and Seamus Coleman.
"Fellaini has been on form, he's colossal in there and wins his tackles and headers and he's been playing really well," the England Under-21 international said. "Hopefully I can form a good partnership with him.
"Seamus had an injury in pre-season but he's back to form now. He was running and working his socks off and he's played really well."
