Chelmsford City manager Glenn Pennyfather has hailed his side's 'tough' win at Gloucester City in an FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay on Tuesday.
An 85th-minute Cliff Akurang header secured the Clarets a 1-0 win.
The Essex side will now host AFC Telford in the first round.
Pennyfather told BBC Essex: "It only needed one bit of quality and thank goodness we were the ones to provide that."
He continued: "They don't make it pretty. They contest for everything and they are a tough side physically. We had to match that.
"I'm delighted. This is a tough place to come. It's a big ask for us. All my players had been at work this morning."
Chelmsford reached the second round last season, beating Hendon in the first round, before losing to Wycombe Wanderers.
With the prospect of hosting Telford next Pennyfather added: "We're under no illusions. It's going to be a tough match, but it's one we will look forward to."
