Gateshead striker Yemi Odubade faces up to six weeks out after breaking two metatarsal bones in his right foot.

The 27-year-old, who joined the club from League One side Stevenage in the summer, received the diagnosis at hospital on Thursday.

"I'm going to be out for some time and it is a real sickener," Odubade told the club websiteexternal-link.

"I've never been out for more than a couple of weeks before and it will be hard not being involved."

Since completing a move to Tyneside in June, the former Oxford United forward has scored four goals in 18 starts as an ever-present for boss Ian Bogie.

As well as potentially missing forthcoming league games with Fleetwood, Mansfield and Wrexham, Odubade is ruled out of the FA Cup first round tie against rivals Blyth Spartans on 12 November.
