Blyth Spartans have signed defender Greg Pearson from Huddersfield Town on a one-month loan deal.
Pearson, 18, is yet to make his full debut at the Galpharm Stadium, but signed a first professional contract for Lee Clark's side earlier this year.
"Greg is highly rated at Huddersfield," Spartans assistant boss Gavin Fell said of the Terriers under-18 captain.
"He's quick, tenacious and not frightened to put his feet or head in where it hurts."
Fell added: "Lee [Clark] has been brilliant about getting the deal sorted out and it will obviously help us after losing central defenders Wayne Buchanan and Carl Jones to suspension and injury respectively."
Spartans have permission from Huddersfield to include the defender for the FA Cup first round tie with Gateshead on Saturday, 12 November.
