Harrogate deserved better, says manager Simon Weaver
Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver feels his side should have got something from their 2-0 defeat by Nuneaton in Blue Square Bet North.
Weaver made five changes to the side that lost previously to Hyde but they slipped to a fourth consecutive defeat.
He told BBC Radio York: "I thought first half we looked nervous but we were in the game.
"At half-time I said 'just have a go' and in the second half we deserved something out of the game."
Goals at the end of each half saw Nuneaton win the game which leaves Harrogate Town in 14th the table.
Weaver continued: "It's true to say they had more pace in the team than us.
"However, I thought when we got it down and played in the second half and threw caution to the wind that we performed well."
Harrogate picked up another injury in the game with defender Richard Pell leaving the field in the first half.
Weaver said: "It was a blatant elbow, we could all see.
"His eye socket is massive and he couldn't see straight, so even though I was tempted to keep him on because he's such a rock for us recently, he was just unlucky.
"We're having a bad run of it but I'm sure it'll swing back in our favour."
