Glasgow City complete 100% record with 20th league win

Women's football

Champions Glasgow City beat Hamilton to end their Scottish Women's Premier League season with maximum points.

The 100% record was maintained with a 5-0 win, goals coming from Lisa Evans, Emma Mitchell, Jo Love, Danica Dalziel and an own goal by Laura Murray.

Spartans finished second in the league after beating Celtic 2-1 with Sarah Ewens and Hayley Lauder on target.

Forfar beat Inverness 2-0, relegated Kilmarnock lost 3-1 to Falkirk and Rangers beat Hutchison Vale 5-2.

Commenting on City's feat, head coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "To go 20 league games and finish with 20 wins is quite incredible, never mind letting in only 6 goals all season.

"Every single player in our squad has played a huge part in this achievement and they should all be very proud of what they have done.

"We now look forward to our last 16 Champions League game [the second leg against Potsdam, who lead 10-0 in the tie] and the Scottish Cup Final [against Hibernian]."
