Alfreton boss Nicky Law welcomes Nathan Arnold's return

Nathan Arnold
Arnold has only played five games for Alfreton this season because of injury

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law was delighted to see winger Nathan Arnold return to action in Saturday's defeat against Forest Green Rovers.

The 24-year-old came on as a second-half substitute in the 4-1 loss.

Law told BBC Radio Derby: "Hopefully he will be a big player for us. It was important we got him 25-30 minutes."

Arnold was a key player in the Blue Square Bet North title-winning season in 2010-11, but broke a bone in his left foot against Darlington in August.

Law added: "We needed to give him a little bit of confidence that he can go on the pitch and compete.

"He is over his injury. Now it is just matter of the match fitness to get him back where he was."
