Veteran Wycombe Wanderers winger Gareth Ainsworth has been ruled out for four weeks following the news he will need an operation on a broken thumb.
He suffered the injury in the 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday two weeks ago and will undergo surgery on Thursday.
The 38-year-old had played 14 games this season.
It is Wycombe's second injury blow this week with keeper Steven Arnold ending his loan spell at Hayes & Yeading with a fractured metatarsal in his foot.
The 22-year-old is expected to be out for at least eight weeks after undergoing surgery on Tuesday.
He made 17 appearances for Hayes in what started as a season-long loan at the Blue Square Bet Premier side.
The former Norwich City youngster has yet to feature for the Chairboys since arriving from Grays in January 2010.
