Tamworth fought back from two goals down to draw with 10-man Kettering.
Moses Ashikodi smashed Kettering ahead after Jonathan Hedge had parried Steve Meechan's drive, before Jean-Paul Marna slid the second home under the keeper.
But the Poppies had goalkeeper Laurie Walker sent off for bringing down Danny Mills and Kyle Patterson rifled the resulting penalty past Aldi Haxhia.
Mills fired in the equaliser early in the second half but Kieron St Aimie was off target with a chance to win it.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Kettering Town manager Mark Stimson tells BBC Radio Northampton:
"They started off brightly and looked totally in control. Then a moment of madness cost us, with the goalkeeper sent off and a penalty.
"The boys dug in and defended and to get a point at Tamworth, after the week we've had - I'll take that.
"It's hard to pick out individuals but Marcus Kelly was a class above, defensively and offensively. We're probably going to lose Adam Cunnington (to Dagenham and Redbridge) and I just hope we don't lose Marcus as well."
