The top three sides in Jersey's Championship have stretched five points clear after wins at the weekend.

Jersey Nomads lead the way on goal difference after Stephen Phelan's hat-trick helped his side to a 5-0 win over fourth-placed Beeches.

Pascal Corcoran's double secured second-placed St Martin Sporting Club Francais a 2-0 win at Portuguese Club.

Meanwhile, at St John, third-placed St Brelade kept up with the pace as they returned from the north with a 3-0 win.

Luke McGlone, James Quemard and Dave Streets were on target for the visitors.

Elsewhere, St Lawrence moved up to fifth after Luke Maguire scored five goals in their 6-2 win over bottom-of-the-table Sporting Academics.

Magpies got their first points of the season, Darren Quintal scoring both of their goals in a 2-1 win at St Clement.
