Barrow defender Mike Pearson suffered a double break in Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup first round defeat by Rotherham United.

Pearson faces a minimum of three months out after being stretchered off with a broken leg and a fractured ankle.

The luckless 23-year-old, who endured a similar injury in the third round loss at Middlesbrough three seasons ago, has again been sidelined this season.

He missed six games after suffering a broken cheekbone in September.

Pearson has made 108 league appearances, scoring three goals, since moving to Holker Street from Oldham in July 2008.
