Cliftonville repeated Saturday's 2-1 victory away to Glenavon to reach the last four of the League Cup.

Their captain Chris Scannell netted a simple tap-in in the 27th minute after Martin Donnelly has crossed.

Stephen Garrett headed number two in the 58th minute but Glenavon got one back through Diarmuid O'Carroll's spot-kick five minutes later.

Aaron Smyth, booked for the penalty foul on David Magee, was sent-off for bringing down the same player on 78.

But the Belfast Reds survived with 10 men to go into the semi-finals.
