Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor admits he has been impressed with Sone Aluko while the former Aberdeen forward has been on trial this week.
McGregor believes Aluko has done his chances of a contract no harm so far.
"I thought he looked really good," the Scotland goalkeeper told Rangers's website.
"He looks like he can offer something different. He likes to take the ball, he's quick and he has shown some good finishes."
Aluko's contract expired at the end of last season and he has since been without a club.
However, the 22-year-old has been training at Murray Park this week as Rangers manager Ally McCoist searches for a replacement after Scotland forward Steven Naismith was ruled out for the rest of the season.
"Hopefully for him and the club it will be good," added McGregor.
