Truro City boss Lee Hodges says his side's 2-0 win over Tonbridge Angels left him "emotionally drained".

Les Afful opened the scoring on 21 minutes before Ed Palmer got his first goal for the club in the last minute.

The win came after speculation as to whether Truro's players would play after not being paid.

"I've had a lot of sleepless nights these past couple of weeks and I'm probably a little bit emotionally drained," he told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"You pick a team and you're thinking 'is the team going to play?'

"I talked to the players on the phone and got them motivated and ready to go. The boys rolled their sleeves up, pumped that chest out and to a man every one of them was outstanding."

Hodges' side sit 12th in the Blue Square Bet South table after the win.
