Hull City have named Steve Wigley as their first-team coach to work under caretaker manager Nick Barmby.
Ex-Southampton boss Wigley, 50, who assisted the Tigers under Iain Dowie in 2010, left his role as Bristol City assistant manager earlier this month.
He told the club website: "I'm here to help Nick Barmby and [fellow first-team coach] Stuart Watkiss as best I can.
"There are a lot of good staff still here but it's now a case of getting to know the players as quickly as I can."
The Tigers were forced to name a new coaching set-up this week following the departure of manager Nigel Pearson and his assistants Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh to Leicester.
