Notts County midfielder Neal Bishop says the team is unrecognisable from the one that were struggling so badly in League One last season.
Bishop has helped Notts push towards the play-off spots this term.
But the Magpies were in turmoil until Martin Allen arrived as manager in April and only avoided relegation on the last day of the campaign.
"Last season was one of the lowest points since I've been here. It wasn't a good place to be," Bishop said.
Bishop said Allen's appointment was a huge factor in the the club's change in fortunes.
He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I think the turnaround in such a short space of time is credit to the gaffer and the chairman for getting the right man in, and credit to all the players he has brought in and the players he has inherited."
