Gary Gardner joins Coventry on loan from Aston Villa

Gardner has made six appearances for England Under-21s

Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has moved to Championship side Coventry City on a month's loan.

The 19-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance but scored a hat-trick for Villa's Under-19s against Ajax in the NextGen European competition.

Gardner in England Under-21s 5-0 victory over Iceland on 11 November.

The midfielder will stay with Coventry until 3 January and should make his debut against Brighton on Saturday.
