Guernsey FC retained their 11-point lead at the top of the Combined Counties League Division One with a 4-0 home win over Hartley Wintney.
Ross Allen scored two goals along with singles for Jacques Isabelle and Dominic Heaume.
The win was Hartley Wintney's first away defeat of the season.
"I'm very proud of the way we took the energy out of the game from them and put that into our own game," said assistant manager Colin Fallaize.
And Fallaize says the performances his side have shown demonstrate the improvement in their game.
"We've had two weekends where we had a performance of some real quality," he said.
"One or two players came back into the equation and one or two players didn't even get into the squad.
"This whole system, whether people like it or not, is to improve the quality of the game all-round and that's what it's doing.
"It's making people step up and come out of their comfort zones."
And he told BBC Guernsey that his squad are stepping into the unknown: "The season is going to go into 40 games and that's an experience that none of us have had before coaching-wise and playing-wise.
"I'm not under any illusions that today's a league-winning day, but is is another step forward into a very progressive season."
