A Ched Evans brace helped Sheffield United move into the third round of the FA Cup at the expense of Torquay.
Rene Howe smashed the League Two side ahead from Lee Mansell's flick.
Mark Ellis sliced Matthew Lowton's cross into his own net and Evans, who had earlier hit the post, lashed home as the Blades went in front.
Evans capitalised on an error by Robert Olejnik to increase the hosts' advantage before Danny Stevens thundered home a late consolation.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"I think we got stronger as the game went on, if I'm quite honest, we didn't start particularly well.
"We gave the upper-hand to Torquay and we could have prevented that but we did start slowly. Thankfully we got our act together and we started to push on in the second half.
"Getting the first goal was important though and we got it and went from strength-to-strength."
