QPR striker Jay Bothroyd has pledged to report a Twitter user who used the social networking site to send him a racist comment.
The 29-year-old received the tweet after his side's 2-1 defeat at Norwich.
"Racist people are shameful," tweeted Bothroyd. "I will report this incident. Narrow minded people can't get away with that sort of behaviour.
"Let's see what Twitter do about the racists on here, they should be doing something as well."
The Twitter user who posted the comment has since claimed that friends tweeted the messages without him knowing.
Bothroyd, who was capped for England in November 2010, came on as a 57th-minute substitute in the Premier League game at Carrow Road.
It was the first time he had appeared for QPR since 5 November after an injury lay-off.
"I was delighted to be back today, just a shame we didn't win." added the former Cardiff City player.
