Bournemouth have named former Burnley coach Russ Wilcox as Lee Bradbury's assistant manager.
Wilcox, 47, was unveiled at a fans' forum on Wednesday and will officially sign an 18-month contract on Friday.
The club had been without an assistant boss since striker Steve Fletcher's decision to step down from the post.
Cherries boss Lee Bradbury told BBC Radio Solent: "He's worked at every level and possesses every badge you could ask for."
He continued: "I felt that we made a very good connection when we met and thought we could work well together.
"I wanted to bring someone in who was experienced and has done it at all levels and Russ has certainly done that."
Wilcox has previously worked as Brian Laws' assistant at Scunthorpe, Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley.
