St Brelade go top of Jersey Championship

St Brelade have gone a point clear at the top of Jersey's Championship with a 4-1 win at Sporting Academics.

Goals from Kyle Hampshire (2), James Walsh and David Streets gave St Brelade the victory while Stephen du Four netted for the bottom side.

St Martin/SCF drop to second place after their game against Jersey Nomads was postponed because of rain.

St Lawrence moved up a place to third, with Paulo Ricardo Andrade and Luke Moss scoring in a 2-0 win over St John.

Elsewhere, mid-table Portuguese Club thumped Magpies 5-2, helped by a hat-trick from Carlos Alves.

In Saturday's other Championship game in the island St Clement thrashed Beeches 5-0.
