Ayr United 0-0 Partick Thistle

Ayr keeper Kevin Cuthbert
Cuthbert ensured the home side kept a clean sheet

Ayr and Partick Thistle played out an entertaining goalless draw at Somerset Park, a result that leaves the hosts a point behind the seventh-placed Jags.

Ayr's Kevin Cuthbert saved an Aaron Sinclair free-kick early on and at the other end Chris Smith's header from Michael McGowan's corner hit the bar.

Thistle striker Chris Erskine fired wide of the post after 35 minutes.

Cuthbert kept out a fierce Thomas Stewart shot from 18 yards and McGowan had a shot well saved by Scott Fox.
