Forest Green Rovers have signed Reading goalkeeper Simon Locke on an emergency loan until 28 December after Jonathan Bond was recalled by Watford.
Locke, 20, is yet to make a senior appearance either for the Royals or during previous loans spells with Gillingham and Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Hornets have cut short four days early.
That left James Bittner as Rovers' only fit keeper with Matt Bulman sidelined by a knee injury.
Following the closure of the loan window last week Forest Green had to request special dispensation from the Football Association to complete the deal for Locke.
