High flying Alloa Athletic needed a late Ben Gordon equaliser to salvage a draw at lowly Montrose.
Gordon rose highest to nod home an inswinging corner from Ryan McCord to cancel out Scott Johnston's early header.
The strugglers had taken a shock lead in the 15th minute when Terry Masson's cross was nodded home by striker Johnston.
Alloa almost drew level in the 57th minute when a curling effort from McCord just evaded Sandy Wood's left-hand post, before Gordon's towering header levelled matters with just 12 minutes remaining.
The home side almost nicked all three points at the death but Martin Boyle's injury-time effort was tipped round the post by Scott Bain.
Alloa will feel they missed an opportunity as all three points would have taken them to the top of the Scottish Third Division.
