Manager Marcus Law wants Tamworth's feet back on ground
Tamworth manager Marcus Law says his team must not switch off between now and their FA Cup third round tie at Everton next month.
The Lambs fell to a rather flat 3-1 defeat at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday, and Law was not impressed.
"I was disappointed. If we're going to be a top six side we need a point out of this sort of game," he told BBC WM.
"There's an easy excuse that we've had a fantastic game on Saturday and the euphoria of getting Everton."
Law made it perfectly plain to his players that the effort they put in on their trip to the Forest of Dean was simply not good enough.
"I've had a go at the boys because I look at mental strength," he noted. "It's just too easy not to turn up. I don't accept that. That's not how I work.
"I've been with teams that've won big games before. To achieve anything every game is a cup final."
The Lambs now head to Worksop for the first round of the FA Trophy on Saturday, then they are scheduled to play three more league games before their game at Goodison Park next month.
