Albion Rovers 3-1 Dumbarton

Scottish Football League

John Gemmell scored twice as Albion Rovers leapfrogged Dumbarton in the Scottish Second Division.

Rovers opened the scoring after five minutes through Gemmell's 20-yard strike into the top left-hand corner.

Gemmell grabbed his second 20 minutes later when he converted a Steven Lawless cross.

Bryan Prunty bundled home to pull one back for Dumbarton eight minutes before the break.

But Robert Love's tidy finish sealed the hosts' win on the hour.
