Accrington beat Torquay in a match where both sides had men sent off.
Bryan Hughes put the hosts ahead with a shot from 12 yards before the Gulls' Rene Howe was dismissed for a late challenge on defender Dean Winnard.
Jayden Stockley's fine lofted finish made it 2-0 but Stanley, who are now unbeaten in six league games, had Luke Joyce sent off for showing dissent.
Kevin Long converted from Padraig Amond's cross for 3-0 before Chris McPhee's consolation 12-yard strike.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Torquay manager Martin Ling told BBC Radio Devon:
"We looked second best and the result was a fair result.
"At the end of a really really good run, it was disappointing to lose it in this style.
"It was a little bit slippery under foot, but nothing major that caused us to play as badly as we did."
