Oldham defender Jean-Yves M'Voto has overcome an injury scare and may be available for selection for Tuesday's FA Cup game against Southend.
The defender limped off the pitch on Saturday prompting manager Paul Dickov to rule him out of midweek action.
Dickov has since told the club website: "Maybe it was a nerve or cramp. If the scan is clear Jean will feature."
Victory for the Latics would set up a tantalising third-round tie away at Liverpool in January.
Oldham could also be boosted by the return of forward Chris Taylor from injury.
The forward has missed the last three games thanks to a hamstring injury but is expected to be available for selection.
