Kidderminster Harriers boss Steve Burr was pleased after his side beat Vauxhall Motors 2-0 in their FA Trophy first-round replay at Aggborough.
Two first-half goals from Jamille Matt and Kyle Storer booked Harriers' place in the second round.
"I thought we did quite well in the second half without finishing off the chances that we had," Burr told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"We were that yard quicker and our football was very good tonight."
Matt has now netted five times in his last four outings and Burr says the front-man's current run of form has been a major boost.
"We haven't shown a lack of goals this season but you like to see your strikers getting on the scoresheet on a regular basis," he said.
"Recently 'Jammer' has started to do that for us and that is good to see.
"I thought he was a major threat again tonight and he posed lots of problems for them."
Harriers' reward for their win over the Motormen is a home tie against Droylsden in the second round on Saturday, 14 January.
The Aggborough club do not have a game this weekend as their scheduled trip to York City has been moved to Monday, 19 December (1945 GMT).
BBC Hereford & Worcester will have full online commentary of York City against Kidderminster Harriers.
