Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean says he will discuss the future of midfielder Keith Andrews when he returns to Ewood Park in January.
The Republic of Ireland international has spent the first half of the season on loan at Ipswich Town, where he is their leading scorer with eight goals.
Kean told BBC Radio Lancashire: "He's got a contract with us until the end of the season.
"We would like to bring him back and then discuss the options with Keith."
Andrews, 31, was loaned out to Ipswich at the start of the season after falling down the pecking order with Rovers.
He has been handed the captaincy in recent matches and Ipswich want to keep him at Portman Road.
Kean said: "I believe there was some speculation about Swansea being interested but I think that was dismissed.
"But he's under contract with us so we'll bring him in with his agent. We'll have a chat with him and first of all ask the player where he wants to play his football and we will take it from there."
