MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has said he will strive to keep loan stars Mark Beevers and Angelo Balanta in January, but admits it will be difficult.
Winger Balanta and defender Beevers will return to QPR and Sheffield Wednesday respectively in 14 days.
"We'd love to keep the two of them," Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"But it's down to the parent clubs to determine what happens with them. It's going to be difficult to make those happen because they've done so well."
He added: "We've got to make sure we get them for the right reasons."
Balanta, 21, in his second spell at Stadium MK, has scored four goals in 21 appearances since joining the Dons in August.
And 22-year-old Beevers has played 15 times to help MK stay within three points of his parent club Wednesday.
