Ryan Donnelly is being touted on fans' websites as the "best Airdrie striker since Owen Coyle" and has now won a monthly award from Irn Bru.
The 20-year-old has been named young player of the month during November in the Scottish Football League.
Following a double in Saturday's 3-2 defeat by Brechin, Donnelly has scored 22 goals in as many games this season.
Five of those came during November, including a hat-trick in a 4-4 draw with Forfar Athletic.
And, despite Donnelly's goalscoring, Airdrie sit seventh place in Division Two, three points adrift of neighbours Albion Rovers in the race for a promotion play-off spot.
