Winger Nathan Dyer has been ruled out of Swansea's game at Everton in the Premier League due to a foot injury.

The 24-year-old was assessed by Swansea's medical staff and will miss the game at Goodison Park on Wednesday.

But full-back Angel Rangel could return after the Spaniard made a speedy recovery from his ankle injury.

"I would have no qualms putting him [Rangel] in [the team] if I had to," said Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers

The 29-year-old has missed Swansea's last three games after suffering the injury during the home goalless draw against Aston Villa at the end of November.

"Angel Rangel comes back into the fold, he has been working really well and trained with the group," added Rodgers.

"His fitness is very strong, he is a natural athlete. His injury has cleared up and there has been no reaction in the last week or so.

"It's nice to have him back because we've got a run of games over this Christmas period where we want as many players as fit and strong as possible. It keeps the options open."
