Rochdale have rewarded defender Stephen Jordan with a permanent 18-month deal.
The 29-year-old began his career at Manchester City, making 62 appearances for the Blues.
He also had spells Burnley, Sheffield United and Huddersfield before joining Dale at the end of October after impressing during a trial period.
Jordan has played in every game since then and even though the management team of Steve Eyre and Frank Bunn have left, the club have given him a deal.
He has previously spoken of his gratitude to Eyre and Bunn for bringing him in after being a free agent in the summer.
