Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alan Navarro wants to extend his contract, which expires in the summer.
The 30-year-old missed most of last season with a knee injury but has made 14 appearances in the current campaign.
He told BBC Sussex: "I want to play as much football as I can. I feel like I've missed out on too much.
"Every game I get is a bonus and hopefully it can carry on to getting something sorted for next season with the club."
He added: "The gaffer [Gus Poyet] hasn't mentioned anything to me so I'll just play day-by-day.
"There's still six months left of the season and six months left on my contract so there's no major rush for the club.
"Hopefully he'll speak to me soon."
