Relegation-threatened Walsall and Rochdale played out an entertaining goalless draw.
Managerless Dale, who are under the caretaker charge of Chris Beech, came close to the opening goal when Harry Bunn forced a save from Jimmy Walker.
The Saddlers went close when James Patterson fired just wide before Emmanuele Smith hit the crossbar.
Bunn clipped the hosts' bar and home sub Claude Gnakpa headed narrowly over as both teams had to settle for a draw.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Rochdale caretaker manager Chris Beech told BBC Radio Manchester:
"I enjoyed that, but I enjoy anything that's involved with football.
"We know we've got to strengthen and start making inroads into one or two players.
"We'll bring players in to make an imminent improvement, but I've got an eye on March, April and May as you want men in those games."
