Rochdale 1-1 Preston

Debutants Daniel Bogdanovic and Jake Jervis ensured Rochdale and Preston shared the spoils at Spotland.

Jervis, who joined North End on loan from Birmingham, fired the ball home to open the scoring early on.

Bogdanovic, on loan from Blackpool, got the hosts back on level terms within nine minutes with a close-range shot.

Dale had the ball in the net twice after the break but efforts from Dean Holden and Ashley Grimes were both ruled out for fouls.

Beech praises two Dale debutants

Rochdale caretaker manager Chris Beech told BBC Radio Manchester:

"We were the team in the ascendancy and bar the first 10 or 15 minutes, I was really proud of the way the boys represented the football club.

"We didn't earn the three points that we deserved, but we've put the respect back in the Rochdale badge.

"He (Peter Kurucz) was brilliant today, I'm really pleased he's here. And Daniel (Bogdanovic) stole the show, so it's brilliant for us."
