Aldershot Town defender Aaron Morris says they must improve at both ends of the pitch to kick-start their season.
The Hampshire side currently lie 16th in the League Two table, 11 points off the play-off places.
The 22-year-old told BBC Surrey: "We're sitting towards the bottom of the table and we need to start stringing some results together.
"We need to be more resilient in our defending and a bit more cut-throat in the final third."
He added: "Some games we've played really well but we need to be consistent.
"That's what's killing us at the minute."
The Shots host Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, then travel to Gillingham on Monday.
