Coleraine failed to make it three wins over third-placed Cliftonville at Solitude in December as the Premiership clash ended level.
The Bannsiders, fourth in the table, had taken the lead in the 39th minute through a Curtis Allen penalty.
Referee Mervyn Smyth pointed to the spot after Ciaran Clarke had been brought down by Ronan Scannell.
Cliftonville equalised just before half-time when George McMullan's shot was deflected past Gavin Cullen.
Earlier, Reds skipper Chris Scannell fired wide while Coleraine's Ryan McIlmoyle shot straight at home keeper John Connolly.
