In-demand Jamie Vardy scored two more goals as Fleetwood Town beat Barrow to return to the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier table.

Peter Till opened the scoring for the Cod Army when he converted Vardy's ball across the box.

Vardy stabbed into the top corner to double their advantage and Danny Rose swept home Shaun Beeley's cross.

Joseph Jackson fired home Richie Baker's free-kick to pull one back but Vardy got another from inside the box.

Vardy, who has been linked to a host of teams including Celtic, Rangers and Blackpool, has now scored 20 goals in 22 games since his summer move from Halifax.

Fleetwood are one point clear of Wrexham, who have a game in hand.
